what you need to know
cat owners
We ask that your cat(s) remain indoors for the duration of our pet care services. Morning and evening cat visits can be requested between the hours of 6:00 - 11:30 am and 4:00 - 8:00 pm. While we cannot guarantee a precise time for each visit on each day, we do try to arrive at approximately the same time each day.
pet supplies
We ask that you provide a ready supply of pet food, treats, poop bags, and required medication for the duration of our pet care services. If Happy Tails finds it necessary to purchase food or other items, there is an additional $50 fee, plus the cost of goods.
pet waste
All pricing assumes that cat litter boxes, pet cages, and dog poop in the yard have been cleaned within a maximum of 24 hours prior to Happy Tails' first visit. If there is excessive waste, an extra fee of at least $25 will be billed upon the first visit for additional time to clean-up.
pet medications
There is an additional fee for administering medications to your pet(s), depending on type, frequency and difficulty. Happy Tails will confirm in advance that it has a pet sitter available to administer medications or injections. Insulin injections are $15 per visit, while other medication administering can range from $5 + per visit.
emergency pet care
Happy Tails will never leave an ill or injured pet untreated in an emergency. We require that we have your consent to contact either your specified veterinarian/clinic/pet hospital or one of our choosing, in the event that one is needed, in an emergency. Happy Tails will make every possible attempt to contact you, in any such emergency. If we do not have a pet sitter available to stay at the veterinarian with your pet, it could be necessary that your pet remain in the veterinarian's care.
early and after hour visits
Before 8 am and/or after 7 pm can be scheduled, if time permits, for an additional fee of $18 per visit. Please inquire whether we can accommodate early and after hour visits prior to booking with Happy Tails.
pre-payment policy
Fees for Happy Tails pet care services are required to be paid in full at the time of your booking.
cancellation policy
Happy Tails does not issue refunds for cancellations.
key storage lockboxes or keypad
In most cases, key storage lockboxes or keypads are required. If you cannot access a key storage lockbox or keypad for any reason, please contact Happy Tails to discuss alternatives.
holiday fees
Holiday rates are 50% above standard rates for the following national holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. Also included are such major, local events as: The American Express PGA Tournament, BNP Paribas Open, the Coachella Valley and Stagecoach Music Festivals.
